Incredible customer experience. I was looking for a Bosch car battery for my Subaru Forester and my research led me to Terry Sayther Automotive (they are one of the few local places that offer Bosch batteries). Two hours before the shop closed, I used the contact form on their website to ask about the battery. They responded within minutes and said the battery would be delivered and ready for pick up the following morning. That’s freaky fast service. I showed up today and was greeted by Duncan. I'm a loyal customer of 24 years and for good reason. You will get great and honest service at a fair price if your BMW ever needs a problem addressed or routine maintenance done. It's a South Austin institution...a mom, pop, and son family affair. There's a host of mechanics who have been there for years. Wouldn't take my BMW anywhere else.
I brought my 2012 Range Rover HSE in for the first time for a brake service and 105K mile service, after researching Terry Sayther online for a couple of months. My Rover had been serviced exclusively by Land Rover Austin previously, but I had been wanting to make a change to find a more cost effective option. I called on a Friday morning and spoke with Nichole, who was awesome throughout the entire experience. I thought I would be scheduling a day and time one to two weeks out in order to get my Rover in. Surprisingly, Nichole mentioned that they were slower than expected that day, and asked if I could bring it in immediately. I was able to shift some things around in my schedule and bring it in. Drop of was easy, and Nichole ran me through their process and what my service experience would be. After returning back home, I received a text message with a link describing the diagnostic results and what was needing to be done. I called Nichole back, she answered immediately and confirmed the services and provided a forecast for the cost of the service and time of completion. By 3:00pm, I received a text message indicating the service was complete. When I went to pick up my vehicle, Nichole gave me the rundown of all the costs, and even discussed another service she had recommended that I hold off on at this time, but plan for later. I am pretty confident that I saved close to 50% of the cost I would have incurred at the dealership, which is a big win. So far the Rover is running great, and Nichole even mentioned that they stand by any of the services they've provided and will fix anything that may go wrong post service. All in all, this was an excellent first-time experience. It has definitely shifted my thinking about getting my Rover serviced at the dealership in the future. I would strongly recommend Terry Sayther to anyone that needs their vehicle serviced.
Thorough inspection pointing out immediate needs vs those that could be addressed later. No pressure, knowledgeable, good communication.
