A MINI Vacation in Vegas
Page 3

Penn Gillette of the magical Penn & Teller came by to visit with his "stripper pink" Cooper. Lots of early little Minis were there, sun shining, a beautiful day. But suddenly, WOW, 45
mph winds blew through, filling Schmutzie full of dirt and dust and sending our boys scurrying to batten down the hatches!! Wind chill in the 30s!!! Duncan in his summer shorts!!!
But the show went on, with Duncan installing an ALTA intake and that great underdash shelf.
Randy Webb of famous "Pulley Party" fame went on undeterred as well, continuing to install
reduction pullies by flashlight.

There was also a GOODIE RAFFLE in the afternoon, where Duncan introduced Terry Sayther Auto and we donated a few prizes. Everybody loves to win stuff, and there was some good stuff to win!

Dinner that evening was at the NASCAR CAFÉ, beginning with a SPIRITED DRIVE through the Sahara Casino parking garage. Ah, re-living those famous Italian Job scenes is great fun when you are among other motoring friends!

That evening, an impromptu late cruise with all MOTORING MINIacs up Las Vegas Blvd. ended the day on a neon-filled note.

Sunday, Febrauary 8th: Packin' up to head home….where did the weekend go? Bryan and Dunc said their good-byes, and headed straight home…22 hours straight to Austin. Bryan helped by driving his 2 hours. You remember that story about the horse that turns and heads for the barn?????
