We were excited to finally perform the oil service on the
MINI Cooper S, and it was a simple procedure made even
simpler with our special tools. Here's the dirty
details:
-
Removed oil cap & oil drain plug
- drained dirty oil...Yuck!
Checked oil for metallic bits, but found nothing
-
Lowered car on lift,
removed oil filter housing cap with special tool to
access oil filter

-
Tried to install new filter that
didn't fit , was Chinese
junk from a European parts wholesaler in Dallas. Ordered Proper filter from our friend
Ken Pejza at Worldpac & installed.

- Put the drain plug back in and
filled motor with 5 quarts of fresh BMW synthetic oil
and closed the cap. Went for a test drive, WHEEE!!!!
Wasn't that easy?
I knew you could do it!!!
